A rebranding project for the Latin American stand at Munich‘s Viktualienmarkt. This rebranding is a modern interpretation of a traditional painting technique from Buenos Aires, Argentina, the “Fileteado Porteno”. In this way, the brand image of the “Mercado Latino” reinforces its origins and yet appears modern and professional to the outside world.
This project was created as part of my Bachelor‘s thesis and includes a detailed excursus on the painting technique of the “Fileteado Porteno” and its origins.

The "Mercado Latino" puts great emphasis on tradition and culture. As the owner is originally from Buenos Aires, there is a special connection to this city.
That's why I took inspiration for the design from the colorful city itself. The colorful painting of the buses and the many signs and shop windows are particularly striking in Buenos Aires. This painting technique originated in this very city and is known by the name Fileteado Porteño.

In addition to numerous print assets, such as flyers, menu cards, product packaging and classic posters, this rebranding also placed great emphasis on the website and its online store. The aim was to achieve a playful brand image while at the same time being clear and functional. Visitors to the website can find out more about all the services on offer, such as the catering service, as well as using a user-friendly online store.
Social media channels are used as a platform to share the passion for South America with the followers in addition to special campaigns or own events.
